I want to study Law in Oxford University - What voluntary work would look good?

Why not start locally. You might find your school has a need for volunteers or connections with other schools that do. Alternatively go to your local library, they usually ahve lists of local community based assossiations, projects and charities. Don't think about looking good, think about doing it.

Oxford don't care very much about what things you do outside of your academics (an admissions tutor told me that herself) however there is no harm in doing something. The most important thing is that it interests you, and that you want to keep going. One thing that would look good on your application would be some sort of work experience/shadowing. A girl in my year got to sit in the court and watch actual cases, she said it was really exciting, and it also shows that you have a genuine interest in Law.

You should do something you believe in, not that just looks good on the application. If you volunteer to clear land mines you stand as good a chance as anybody.
