Should I cancel my friend's request?

I added a coworker on Facebook about a week ago as I thought we were close. I didn't think it would be a problem. I added him Tuesday night. I logged on yesterday and he still hadn't done anything on his page. I logged on today and see that he added his job to his page as well as some other things, but my friend's request is still pending. I just talked to him yesterday - didn't mention Facebook - and told him we haven't talked in a while and he was like oh, I know. The fact that he is ignoring the request is making me think differently of him. I don't care if he won't add me, I just thought he would at least have the decency to acknowledge he wasn't going to add me, not just let it sit there. Should I cancel the request or let it sit?

Just let it sit for awhile, he could just be busy.
