• I met this guy from school but at the time I had a boyfriend. He worked his butt off to win me over and I ended up falling head over heals for him and ending my previous relationship. He would call me every single night and we would talk hours on the phone. He introduced me to his friends and mom and loved showing me off. When he was in high school him and his dad got into a horrible car accident and were hit by a drunk driver. His dad passed away and he had to have a fake shoulder and knee from the accident. It was just him and his mom but his dad had left him all this money and they were set. He would always tell me about the good memories he had with his father and how grateful he was to have had him in his life. My family means everything to me so it was so refreshing to hear how highly he thought of his family. He would take me on all these romantic dates to these "special spots" where his dad used to take his mom. We would go watch the stars and go to country concerts and just do the cutest things together! He would always write me little love notes and randomly show up to my work with flowers etc. He met my family and they are a really tough crowd (especially my dad) however they too just loved this guy!! We would honestly spend every day together, he became my best friend. He would tell me how much he loved me and how much he wishes his dad could have met me. Then one day on facebook I see some girl (who he told me was his ex) changed her display picture to a picture of them and I discovered that the whole time he had been dating this girl AS WELL as me! I was completely devastated since I thought he was so perfect. I then find out that his dad never passed away, he abandoned him when he was little but he made up this huge sob story and told everyone such vivid details of his fathers death. And all those "special spots" weren't special at all. I was complete disgusted with this guy and never wanted to talk to him again. A few months went by and we talked a bit more and stupid me I got suckered back into things with him. We were friends with benefits for a bit until my dad found out. And now he wants nothing to do with me. I am nothing but nice to the guy, have tried to text him but I get no response. I don't mean to sound cocky but I am not an ugly person and can usually get what ever guy I want. I don't want to get back together with him but I want him to want me. And its driving me crazy that he isn't interested. So how do I get the upper hand back? I want him to realize he effed up and he lost a really good girl
