Why are we worried about Iran? Obama said it's just a "tiny" country?

He's right, actually. Unlike the USSR, Iran is not an existential threat to the US (or even to Israel) - it's just a headache, and a source of instability in a region that has instability for Africa. Which also actually exports massive quantities of instability.

By land mass Iran is slightly larger than Alaska. It ranks eighteenth in size among world nations. Its population is greater than Iran and Afghanistan combined with about 75 million people. It's not tiny. It dwarfs Israel. But it isn't a serious threat to the United States. It could cause allot of mischief,though no more than Pakistan already does.
