How to get over a fear of vomit?

I have an intense fear of vomit that I literally cannot get over. When someone in my house gets sick I hear bits and pieces and just get so scared and freeze up. Blast my music as high as it can go and pretend it's not happening. I don't know what it is about it that scares me, but since I was a small child it's been an issue. Any thoughts on what I can do?

I have the exact same problem...just wash your hands before eating, keep your fingers out of your face, and hope for the best. No one is immune to being sick.
