How old do you have to be to get a job?

How can i get a job? I am 17 years old a Job?

• I'm 17 and have applied for many jobs but cannot get a job without experience, i cannot get any experience if no one will hire me to give me the experience. i have helped out at a local taxi base and have baby sat during the summer and helped with family members in avon cosmetics sales from home from i was about 9 and i have included this in my C.V. and on application forms but i keep getting turned down i have a good school record and am very outgoing and have also took part in youth volunteering schemes such as peer mentoring. if anyone has any advise on how i can get a job it would be extremely helpful :) i have checked alot of online job sites and local newspapers but still nothing and i do not know what options i have left

  Cut the crap out of your resume. Make it sharp and to-the-point. Cut your hair, don't wear casual clothes but regular clothes.(depending on where your applying. Choose a place you find least objectionable and create a cover letter. Submit your resume and cover letter in a light duotang. It sticks out in a fat pile. Give it to the manager yourself. Call the place back every two days or so, or go visit and ask if they have had time to review your resume. That shows your interested and want to works. This is more effective that scattershoting a pretensious resume that says a whole lot of nothing. Good luck.
