Is 'Blackberry 'Messenger (bbm) free?

I have BlackBerry Curve 8520,I dont have the internet thing that you pay 5 pounds a month (FOR APPARENTLY BMM) when i use interent i use gprs,but i really need to know if bbm is free?

You need the internet on your phone to use bbm, so if you have free internet you have free bbm, the acc bbm's do not cost any added costs x
