How can i seperate a video into two parts?

  • So i downloaded an iplayer video from cbbc iplayer and i want to upload it on to a file sharing site like youtube, but once its uploaded it says its too long. So before uploading i want to know if i can seperate it into two parts. The video is 28 minutes long. Please don't tell me to use windows movie maker because it dosnt work. Please tell me answer as soon as possible. You can tell me any way except from windows movie maker THANKS!

    Which Windows Movie Maker are you trying to use? And what's the problem with it? From what I've heard, the newest one doesn't work for nearly anyone. However, if you use Windows Movie Maker 2.6 (which you can just Google to download), it should work. In it, if you don't see multiple timelines like "video", "audio" and so on, then go to View->Timeline to change it to the Storyboard view. Then move the slider to where you want to cut it and hit CTRL+L and it'll cut it there. You can then delete one half, save it, undo it until you have both, and then delete the other half and save that one. Though if you have some other Windows Movie Maker issue that isn't just using the newest one, then I'm not sure. Sorry. Regardless, good luck!
