Is it necessary to close connections in urllib2?

How to close extra Tcp connections opened by my internet browsers?

  • Alot of TCP ports are being opened by my browsers. I can see in my router. But I dont know what softwares are opening it. I just open facebook and more than 100 tcp ports are being used. Regardless of what Browser I use. I have a firewall up as well and antivirus etc. working well. Any ideas. I think that some software is internally opening tcp connections when i open my internet browser which makes it impossible to disable it in my firewall settings. Is there a software which can help me detect whats wrong. I have performed antivius and spyware scan on my computer...

  • Answer:

If you close any tcp connections opened by your browser while using a website like Facebook, some of Facebook's features may stop working like how it can automatically display new comments with you reloading the page or chatting with one of your friends.
