How to get an A at English Language GCSE?

How do I get an A* in GCSE English Language?

  • My school has set me the target of an A, while my predicted grade is a B. I'm really passionate about language and have done GCSE Spanish and French two years early than most (Grades A and A*). I'm also doing a German GCSE in a year. I'm really pleased with myself but I really want to get an A* in English. I have got mixed results in my coursework; I scored a B in the narrative (boo!) and an A* in the extended literary text. Anyway, does anyone have any tips or advice to how I can get the best mark in English. Thank you!

Also A - anecdote F - fact O - opinion R- Rhetorical Question E- Emotive language S- statistics T - the rule of three (or AFOREST) Hope these help, they're what I used for my GCSES :) xx
