IPod Touch headphone jack issue?

IPod Touch headphone jack problem?

• My music only plays out one earbud unless I push the headphones and hold it in position or it's bent a certain way, I tried different headphones and it is indeed the jack. I tried cleaning it with Q-tips & rubbing alcohol but to no avail. I kinda drop my ipod a lot so maybe that's why? I tried shaking my ipod hard to see if I could hear any loose particles, but didn't hear anything.. so nothing's "broken". I dropped my old ipod touch just as much if not more, and that never happened with the jack. I was walking to school, listening to music when the headphones randomly starting tripping out, so I thought it was just my headphones cause that's exactly what happened to my old headphones, it was the swinging motion that ripped a wire or something, but these headphones were working with my laptop. I tried the paper thing, but I don't think I'm doing it properly. How do I fix this without taking the ipod apart?? I'm not exactly sure what happened with the jack. BTW, my ipod touch isn't jailbroken, so no faulty software.

  This is what happens to old ipods. I've had my 2nd Gen touch since it came out, (never dropped it since I hold it in almost a death grip). I suggest getting a bluetooth pair. The Motorola S305 is pretty good. After all, you can't have any wire/headphone jack problems if you don't use it.
