Differin for acne? does is work?
-
I'm just wondering if this stuff actually works.. I got it frdermatologist with benzaclin. benzaclin is working amazing for me. But I'm really scared to use the differin..I've heard mixed reviews. I'm just wondering what people's experiences are with it? And does the generic brand work just as well?

Answer:
I've been using it for about a month now and it HAS cleared up my acne. What it does, and I got this info by reading the little pamphlet inside, is it unplugs your blocked oil glands and prevents these plugs from happening in the first place. But be advised that it will most likley get worse before it get's better because your skin has to adjust to it, so don't get discouraged! This took me about 2 weeks to get adjusted to and on the pamphlet it says 2-4 weeks is when irritation and peeling will occur. What it did to me was dried the f*ck out of my skin but I solved that by putting a little bit of vasaline on the dry patched and it got rid of it. I also put a really thin layer on the affected area only. Don't just put a spot on it, really rub it into your skin. My derm also gave me another cream that is a moisturizer with acne medication on it, so I've gotten quick results. I only use differin before I got to bed, but use as told by your doctor. Hope this helps and good luck!
