What do you do when your thumb joint hurts 2 months after injury?

Help!!!! Hamstring Injury?

  • I first had this injury about two and a half months ago. There was no clear incident that I remember that made my hamstring tear or pull. Its almost as if the hamstring slowly eased into the pain. The injury feels like a achy and sore deep pain in the middle of my right though. Anyway during the start of the injury I had soccer state cup training and and state cup games. I played through the pain. I could still play but the hamstring was noticeable and affected my play (intensity, shot, and speed). The pain seems to go away as long as I rest. SOMETIMES IT FEELS COMPLETLY HEALED JUST FROM A NIGHTS SLEEP BUT THE NEXT DAY I START PLAYING AND IT HURTS AGAIN WITHIN 15-45 MINUTES. This seems odd and doesnt fit the symptons for a common hamstring injury. I told my coach about my problem and he said for me to take two weeks off of any physical activity after the season. He also said to apply heat and ice to my leg, elevate, and eventually start doing light stretches. I followed this for two weeks and I instantly went back to playing soccer with my friends. I was fine for the first two hours but then on the third I did a "jerky" movement and I knew I reinjured it. I dont even know for sure if it was healed in the first place though. I then continued practicing with the injury. 2 weeks later it still bothered me so I went to the doctors who said I have a hamstring pull and she sent me to do physical therapy. They say I can continue to practice soccer because Im not making the problem worse. The physical therapist says if I do my stretches and strenghening excersises I should be able to get it healed in around 2 weeks. I dont know if they diagnosed the injury correctly though. I think it may be something more serious. Tryouts for school soccer are in 9 days and my main team starts in 2 months. Do you think its okay for me to play school soccer? and do you think my hamstring is just a common injury? and does anyone have any other healing tips besides strengthening and stretching . Please Help!
