Is tazorac the same as retin a micro ? does it actually work?

What exactly does Retin-A do and how long does it take to work?

  • I use the 0.25% strength Retin-A. It has actually helped a lot with my acne but I still get 4-6 spots around my chin and cheeks :/ Which is weird, because I literally had no acne there before I started using it - most of it was focused on my forehead. Then it migrated...lol. But yes, I keep telling my dermatologist I need a stronger one, but she insists it wont do anything more.

  • Answer:

Couple months? It should take a couple weeks - if you haven't noticed a big difference, go back to the doctor, that medicine isn't for you, or you need a stronger version. And it won't work permanently - if you stop it comes back somewhat.
