How long for grade 1 pulled hamstring to heal?
-
I think I have a grade 1 pulled hamstring.. i'm pretty sure at least. It's been a week and two days now but i don't think it's fully healed yet but it's almost there. About 5 days into the injury my leg felt really good and i started sprinting hard and i felt great that i could sprint again but i think i pushed a bit too much i should have waited the extra two days because then after that day it started to hurt a little again but i can still almost sprint full speed. At my house i have this distance that i run sometimes. It's pretty close to 100m something like that, and i usually run it in 12.2-12.5 seconds. I ran it today and i ran it in a pathetic 14 flat. How long is it going to take for me to get back to full speed?

Answer:
You have to rest it. Put Bengay or Free-it on the spot that it hurts before you run. This may sound a little weird, but it helps. Take an Epson salt bath if you don't believe me look it up. When I am sore or i have sprained something i take one. It helps SOOOO much. Try it. I'm not sure where you can get Epson salt, but probably some stores, but you may have to order it online. Hope I helped and hope you feel better.

man I feel your pain I pulled my hamstring 3 weeks ago, it just healed like 2 days ago. Dont run in practice, you need RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) it will heal, you need to stretch it becuase what happens is that the dead scar tissue start to build in and its not as flexible as your regular hamstring , so what you need to do is to stretch it to the point where you feel a little pain and you need to slow jog on it to get it to its normal self. Hamstrings dont heal fully, you have to rest for 2weeks for it to heal 100 %
