How long will it take to get a title for my car?

How long does it take to get a car title from DMV in tx? (re title im assuming?) NEED HELP?

  • So im buying a car and the guy is waiting on the title from DMV (he applied for one because car is originally from CA) and he sent it in to the DMV on the 2nd of march this month and we have been waiting, anyone know how long it usually takes? because i have a loan thats good till the 11th . Should it be in soon they said it usually takes up to 20 buisness days?

    then go look for a car that the owner is smart enough to have the title ready before selling the car. banks are funny nowadays they may not renew the check its hard to tell. Keep looking a car id better thqn no car and that title may be awhile. so find a better car than what you had he could have sold the car with the california title no problem. So there is some reason he screwed it up. could be a lein holder. could be he bought it recently to resell and make money. If it has a lien holder and you buy it this is an illegal sale. Make sure before any money changes hands you have a clesr valid non salbage car. (the babk will not accept a salvage car as part of a loan. good luck ME? I would ask the guy a few more questions.
