How do i measure the spline on my kick start lever?

It'd be nice to have a dial calilper. Maybe you know someone you could borrow one from. They're not really that expensive anyway. Measure the inside and outside diameter of the spline, then count the number of teeth. Then you can measure other kickstart levers with the caliper to see if they'd fit.

why don't you go to your local suzuki dealer and buy the correct one. the problem i can see that you might have even if the kick starter from another bike fits your splines is how it is shaped ie is it going to clear the frame when you kick it through. i do not understand why you would want to try and use a kick start lever from another brand of motorcycle. service honda in indiana has the stock kick start lever for your bike in stock. the price is $127.00 dollars. here is there number 800 828-5498
