Dry Eyes contacts problem?

My contacts are bugging me?

  • I wore contacts for about a year and my old doc didnt tell me anything about the importance of not sleeping with ur contacts in. So I did and finally one day my eye hurt really bad and I could barely open it and went to a new doc and I basically had a blister on my eye and the problem was fixed. The pair of contacts I had been using were the last one of my box and either way I thought that I needed a new prescription so I told my dad. It was a few months before I went to get a new prescription and so I wasn't wearing any lenses for a while. I just got fitted for new contacts and I've tried 3 different brands and all 3 have turned my eyes red by the end of the first day od=f wearing them. I didn't have this problem with contacts before and I told my new doc and she said there's nothing wrong with my eyes and if the contacts make the eyes redder to come in. What could be causing this? The last pair I tried that I ordered the prescription for were the Oasis ones (these were the ones I wore for a year that never turned my eyes red)

  • Answer:

you should never sleep or take a bath with your contacts.they need oxygen so you should not keep your eyes closed for a long time and they shouldn't.get wet.you should always wash them clean with a special serum after u wear them.they should stay in the liquid for at least an hour before you can wear them again. if you are doing all the above, then I'm guessing two things. either your eyes have become sensitive and you should forget about contacts for a while or since you haven't been wearing them for a long time now,you should give your eyes some time to adapt to this itch. but if they make your eyes really red then don't wear them.
