How to install Windows ME over other Windows? or on partition?

I want to install Windows ME over Windows Vista. Don't question why - it has some nice benefits. Whenever I have tried in the past, it said that it won't install because it does not recognize the computer as Windows ME. Later on, I was able to get it to reformat the disk, but then it decided not to work again. How do I install it over Vista? If I can't, how do I install it on an extended partition. Please be detailed!

You are aware that Windows ME is probably the worst Windows operating system ever released and is no longer supported, right? As long as you know that, then all you have to do is wipe your hard drive using something like DBAN and then install ME again on the blank drive.

Why? If you think vista is bad, Me is a hundred times worse. Get Windows xp instead. Again, wipe the drive and install ME, if it is really what you want.
