In fact you wont have to pay much. Try here: http://www.musicaneo.com/sheetmusic/genres/607_rock/ As for instrumentation, just use the filter on the left to select drum, guitar, etc. Luck.

Tabs are nice but guys should be able to learn by ear. That's a pretty basic skill in rock music. Don't be afraid to get the basic framework of a song and let your bandmates make it their own either. Plenty of bands have played covers that vastly outperformed originals simply by making the song their own. Not really your style but I can't think of a Leonard Cohen song that hasn't been made famous by somebody else.

Any rock musician worth their weight in salt can figure out their favorite songs. Sure, some will be harder, but that's just how we separate the men from the boys. Of course, it doesn't have to be exact. Look at Van Halen's version of You're No Good. They had a thing, back in the day, for taking lame songs (think You really got Me) and electrifying them into the stratosphere. What your band should do is take a lame song from today (like Seven Nation Army) and make it sound cool.

This Site Might Help You. RE: where can I get free classic rock sheet music? I need to get sheet music for classic rock, but recently I've stumbled upon some hard times, and can't pay much for it, and I'm not willing to give up my band. Does any one know where I can get free sheet music for drums, lead, rhythm, and bass guitars, and vocals?

Try googling "drum tabs". You'll find a bunch of sites but you have to learn how to read tabs. Don't worry though, once you start learning how to read tabs they're not hard at all.
