Tax refund Direct Deposit?

Tax Refund Direct Deposit Date?

  • I filed on 3/15 and my return was accepted on 3/16. On 3/17 the WMR site began to show a direct deposit date of 4/10. I was confused because the refund cycle charts all showed that I should expect it on 3/28. Then when I checked WMR again several days later the direct deposit date changed to 4/3 with no explanation as to why. So, out of curiosity (and to see if maybe it would get moved up again!) I checked it this morning and it says exactly this, "Your tax return has been received and is being processed. If you file a complete and accurate tax return, your refund will be issued: within six weeks of the received date." So, as you can see there is now no anticipated deposit date. Why does the direct deposit date and the message on the WMR site change so often? Does any of it mean anything is wrong? Have others here experienced anything like this? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

WMR is pretty messed up this year. But that said, the people I've filed for where I knew when they got their deposits, have been 8-10 days. So sounds like there's some kind of holdup on yours, something being reviewed. There were lots of delays for people that filed in January and very early February, but things seem to have straightened out after that.
