How to switch between which TV a program will record?

  • I got dish DVR and my 70" TV is the main one so its TV1, our bedroom TV is TV2. I understand when I go to record a show it automatically puts it to record on TV2 because I have it set as my "record preference". If I decide to watch sports in bed, how can I switch a show scheduled to record on TV2 to TV1, or vice versa, without having to cancel the show?

    at that point it cant be changed with out canceling...on the front of the receiver , press the mode button to put it in single mode, this means both tvs show the same thing but will ensure your recording is being done on the tuner in the background and wont interfere with viewing live tv in either room...try it at least, its easy to put back. this typically works best when both rooms don't need the ability to watch live programming independently of each other
