My eyes are blurry after I put in my contacts?

When I put my contacts in, after 1 hour to 5 hours it turn reds even though I put in eye drops for dry eyes?

  • First of all sometimes my contacts in the first hour I put them in, it turns light pink. But then I put the eye drops for dry eye which makes the pink go away, but I still have a little red on the corner of eyes. Then after 5 hours, it just turns red. I try to put the eye drops but it doesn't help. Also I don’t take them out until after 2 hours because I’ll be in school. So what’s wrong with my contacts and eyes? Also it might be pollen, which I’m allergic too, but even before allergy season started my eyes been turning red with contacts in. Also I’ve been relying on those eye drops because if I don’t, my eyes will turn red the first hour I put in my contacts. Help? Thanks.

  • Answer:

You need to keep your contacts out and go back to your fitter now. Red eyes with contacts are a warning sign of problems and you need to have this fixed not treat teh symptoms. Red eye isn't necessarily a sign of dry eye - it can also be a sign of oxygen deprivation.
