How do I extract music from song?

I need to organize my music files?

• Back on my first laptop I had tons of songs, about 4000. Not wanting to lose any of these when I got my new Macbook Pro I put all the songs in a folder on my portable hard drive. Since all the songs were in iTunes I had to use a few tricks to extract all the music and it all ended up on my hard drive with file names like AABD or BBYC. I have 4000 of these files. When I put them into iTunes they go back to normal and are the songs they are supposed to be. I want to organize these in some way so that I have the actual song names as the files and they are all in folders corresponding to Artist then Album. How can I do this?
