Am I allergic to corn?

Am I allergic to my baby corn snake...?

• Like the question states, I am wondering if I could possibly be allergic to my baby snow corn. Every time I pick her up, a few hours later my hands will turn a bright reddish color and my fingers will start to peel. And this only happens a few hours after having held my corn. And i wash and sanitize my hands after each time I've held her. And I have washed and sanitized my hands after handling other animals and never had this problem with my hands going red and peeling. I rarely handle the snake, and i lotion my hands so i know my hands aren't dry. So thought i would get you guys' opinion. :) Thanks in advance!

  I doubt you are are allergic to the snake. Try handlind another snake and see if you react. You could be allergic to the hand creme too. I was allergic to face cream. Unless the snake has something on its skin you are reacting to. Can you bathe the snake in water? It is remotly possible the snake has bacteria on its skin you are reacting to.
