What is a postal order?

What is postal order?

  • Answer:

Say you want to send someone some money and you don't have a check book, you go to the post office, ask them for a postal order say for example to Mr Smith for $20.00. The post office then gives you a postal order for $20.00 written out to Mr Smith. You pay $.50 or whatever the price is for them to do this. You send this to Mr Smith and he can go and cash the postal order for $20.00 at his local post office.
