How to prepare for an interview?

How do I prepare for a job interview?

  • I'm seventeen years old, and not too long ago I sent my resume online for a job at this new restaurant in my town for a position as a waitress/dishwasher. They just called me back tonight, saying that I have an interview tomorrow. I'm extremely excited, but I have no clue how to prepare for this job interview, as the only job I've had before this was babysitting. So, my question is, how do I prepare for a job interview? Do you know of any questions that managers and such commonly ask during them? If you could help me out in any way, it'd be so greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

  • Answer:

Dress as the waitresses does. hair up if long or in a pony tail. Clean face. floss the teeth. Good clothes. NO JEANS, NO TSHIRTS!

That was my final Answer.

They are likely to ask you questions about yourself, why you want to work there, what kind of availability you have, those types of things. Think about how you would answer questions like why you think you would be a good addition to the team there, that kind of thing. Find out as much as you can about the company before you go in, and plan to ask a few questions, even if it's something like "What is the training process like here? How long would I work with someone before being expected to work alone?". Because you don't have a work history to speak of, you want to make sure you present yourself in the best light possible. Dress nicely, smile, shake hands with the interviewer when you meet them and when you are ready to leave, thank them for taking the time to meet with you, and make sure you express that you are very interested in the opportunity there. Good luck!
