How do I remove a searchable image from google pictures?

I have a bit of a problem here. I have a friend that is a bit annoyed that her face is searchable on google pictures. she was bothered by a picture I uploaded from picasa to my pictures in gmail. I noticed that I hadn't turned on the privacy and that it's searchable. So now I have erased the picture but the picture IS STILL coming up when I do a google search...it just can't find the page...but the picture is still there in the result...

Google images aren't indexed anywhere near as often as web site text and it may take several weeks before the image disappears out of Google's search results.
