What are good paintball sites?

Good sites/stores for custom paintball gear?

  • Friend of mine is getting me into paintball and I need some gear. I like to unique especially with what I wear so I wanted to know of any good sites and/or stores, I'm in Minnesota, that sell custom gear especially masks. Not too concerned with clothing but would like to have a custom mask. Might design my own but rather just see what's out there and choose from them.

    Not a lot of custom mask options. Since they're the #1 piece of safety gear require to play, they must be ASTM certified. There are a wide variety of masks in a variety of colors to choose from, if you avoid getting black you're pretty much guaranteed to end up with something somewhat unique. There are more custom options, though, like a JT Proflex, which is completely modular, letting you choose all the parts to the mask to your liking. Or Save Phace masks, that you can have painted with any pattern you want, or order a blank one and paint it yourself. Few options will be available locally, maybe google paintball stores in your area and see what they carry or what they can order for you. If that is a dead end, just conduct your shopping online. JT masks are available at nearly any online paintball store, while Save Phace's own site is best for their custom options.

Nerdcore is right about the problem with custom masks. Paintball fields literally will not let you on the field with a custom mask, since they could lose their insurance if they let someone use a non-certified mask. As for custom gear, the best places for that IMO are two particular airsmiths. Glenn Palmer and Doc Nickel.
