    Megapixel count has nothing to do with image quality. If the camera allows manual control over ISO, set it to the lowest setting and shoot in areas with plenty of light.

What is most important is the size of the sensor (very tiny on cell phones) and the size of the individual pixel that is on the sensor. Cramming more pixels on to an already tiny sensor can actually make the images poorer
