Why is Ps3 internet not working?

Should I buy a PS3 160gb slim now (2012)?

• Hey guys. It's 2012 now and people are saying Xbox 360 and PS3 are nearing the end of thier cycle. I've been seriously considering selling my Xbox 360 for the PS3 slim this year but can't decide as I've made some decent friends on Live over the years. I've had an Xbox 360 since 2007 (premium 20gb) and only had the red ring of death once in 2008, it was replaced and I've still got it today working perfectly. But the thing is - Xbox 360 has been getting very boring for about a year now cos most of the exclusives are not the kind of games I like (e.g. Halo, Forza). I'm more into PS3 exclusives such as MGS, Uncharted etc. I also like online gaming more than single player. My Xbox 360 does lag from time to time on games like MW2 even though I usually have 4 or more bars, but maybe this is down to the random host who has the crap connection? I know PS3 has free online, with browser, facebook, twitter, blah blah blah but I don't really care about all that extra crap. I'm just interested in the gaming and quality of the free online gameplay and online community. And can you make parties of the same quality like on Xbox Live in either in-game and cross game chat? I've never played a PS3 before. Most of my friends have a PS3 slim now and they say it's great gameplay, free onilne and have good internet connection with only minor lags in online gaming (like you get on Xbox 360 sometimes). Some of them had an Xbox 360 in the past and sold it for the PS3, so no they arern't "fan boys" lol. So yeah, I wanted to ask you unbiased people currently on PS3- is it really that good, as in yes online is free and connection is hardly lagging if YOU have a good internet connection? And also would like to hear from ex PS3 gamers - why did you bin yours? I'm male 20 by the way. Thank you :)

  Yes, you should sell the 360 and pick up a PS3, im not being baised or a "fan boy" but it's true PS3 is BETTER; you get free online (with no lag or DC if you have a strong connection), Better exclusives like you mentioned MGS, Uncharted, GoW. However there is no cross game chat, you have to quit the game to chat, but you can turn on the mic and chat in-games and you can text chat in games also, so no major differences i would say PS3 all the way simpily because they REALLY care about their customers.
