What girls should wear to Spain in March?
-
I'm going to Spain (Barcelona and Madrid) in a week and I was wondering what I should back so I don't stick out? Here, girls are already in their sun dresses and flip flops but I have a feeling that wouldn't work over there. I’m 18 years old and usually try to follow whats in style. So what should I pack? Jeans? Sweater? Shorts? Long skirts? flip flops? Ballet flats? Thank you!

Answer:
I went to the southern part of Spain last year during the first week of March. It was still chilly (but I was on the coast, so not sure if this is why). I wore jeans, flip flops and flats, and comfortable shirts. People over there definitely seemed to be more stylish, wearing skinny jeans and boots, scarves, etc., but it wasn't a big issue to me. I already stuck out like a sore thumb with my American accent, blonde hair, and blue eyes :) If you're going to be in Barcelona and Madrid, two major cities that are sure to be huge tourist spots, I would just look at wearing what will make you comfortable. Sounds like you're being conscious about what you wear, so I'm sure you won't choose anything too offensive. When all else fails, try wearing layers... shirts with sweaters or pullovers. Have fun! :)

You are going to be a tourist. You will stick out. Accept it. Your clothing won't be the same brands they wear. Your shoes won't look at all like theirs. You're going to stand out. Where you are going determines what you will want to wear....they dress differently in different cities.
