If Mortal Kombat was real, what type of martial arts would be in the game, movie, or T.V. series?

• Yes, I know that it is a video game, but then again this is just a hypothetical question. So, if Mortal Kombat was real, what type of martial arts would be in the game? I would believe that the game has some basis on a real type of martial arts, but which ones? Also if the game doesn’t have a real type of martial arts basis, does the Mortal Kombat movie have any real martial arts styles, or even the T.V. series Mortal Kombat Legacy?

  The latest video games for Mortal Kombat display what style or weapon each fighter is currently using. As for a movie or television show - Hollywood rarely gets it right when they convert games to movies and I think a television show would have to modify things due to being unable to find an actor who looks like the character and is physically capable of performing the style needed.
