My Yahoo messenger avatar is not animated!?

I've downloaded a gif (animated) picture for using as yahoo messenger avatar. but when I use it, it won't be animated. Some of my friends use animated avatars for their yahoo messenger (and they are animated, but for me...:( what should I do? by the way, My Yahoo messenger is up to date.
