How much does after school care at SCHOOL cost for parents?

• I am a nanny and charge $10/h for one child and $12/h for two... but one of the parents I babysit for occasionally asked me how much I would charge to babysit 2 kids 4x a week for 4 hours after school and 1x a week for 5.5 hours. Keep in mind I pick the kids up from school but its only 1/2 mile from where they live. Also I asked how much the school charges because she wants to compare my rate to the school's after school program. I want to charge at least $10/h but that we be better if the school's program is more expensive so I could charge $12/h. Obviously the best person to answer this question would be a parent in Southern California who has looked into or uses an after school program to care for their child(ren).

  Normally, if it is a public school, then they don't charge for extended day. I'm not sure about private schools, though. If I were you, I would just go on the school's website, or call and ask them what their rate is, if anything.
