Easy to get a job in Vermont?

Maine vs NH vs Vermont?

  • I am going to pharmacy school in Vermont and want to stay in the area. I like the three northern New-England states, and can't tell which one to live in. Heres what i think: Vermont: there are more job openings, but very high cost of living and few people New Hampshire: low cost of living and more people, but few job oppritunites for my profession Maine: has decent amount of ppl in Portland, cost of living is a little higher than I like but has job oppritunities also, I am gay and would like a state where I can get married. good for VT and NH, not so good for ME which one should I pick? If you have lived in either one of these states, which one would you prefer? Thanks

  • Answer:

I would pick the gay friendly area. You will find a job and you will figure out how to live within your means, but in order to be happy in life, you must find a loving and accepting community. Go for it. Do your homework and check out gay information sites about towns you are considering One place in Maine that is extremely gay friendly is Ogunquit. It is also good commuting distance to Portsmouth, NH. Most towns in Maine or not like Ogunquit.

Vermont does not have a higher cost of living; just higher taxes. Also it is nicely close to Montréal. If there are more job openings for you there that is where you should go, in my opinion.

Châteauguay

Vermont is the best of the three: more jobs and gay-friendly. Easy decision.
