He needs to apply for a passport in Ghana for himself. then he needs to apply for a visa to the U.S. at the American embassy...by himself. the visa fee is 140.00 and is not refundable if the visa is denied ...which about 50% are. You cannot purchase ANYTHING for another person. The ONLY way someone from Ghana can get a visa to come to the US is if they can show proof they have the funds to pay for ALL travel expenses (visa, passport, flight, insurance, spending money, accommmodation, food, transportation, etc) without ANY outside financial assistance. They need to provide the Embassy with 6-12 months of original pay slips and 6-12 months of original bank statements showing their money was legally earned, the deposits into their account are consistent with their salary, and they have been saving money for at least 6 months to afford the trip. They also need a letter from their employer confirming their title, salary, dates of employment and that the company is giving them leave and guaranteeing their job when they return. If you have ever sent this person $10, their visa will be rejected as that proves they are not financially independent and are at a huge risk of overstaying or committing marriage fraud by attempting to marry on a tourist visa instead of filing for a K1 fiance visa. It's almost impossible for an unmarried Ghanaian woman to get a visa to the US unless she is highly educated and in a high paying job where she can afford all travel expenses.
