Answer:
Does your hotel room have a mini-fridge/freezer? Most do, even in cheap hotels, in my experience. If it does, you don't need dry ice. Wrap the food in several layers of newspaper and store it in your trunk, away from sun. This insulates it, like a make-shift thermal bag. Or use a thermal bag, or both. Using the newspaper method, I've transported frozen food on a 6-hour car drive (in a van without a/c in the middle of summer, no less...) and had it still been frozen solid when I arrived at my destination.

Just put it in a cooler. Forget dry ice. When you get to the hotel, fill the cooler with ice. The food will take days to thaw.

A) Dry ice is not ice. It is a form of chemical used for putting put fires. Yes i can help you. Generally the substances that people put along with ice to make it stay frozen are thongs in the everyday kitchen. Salt and ice is a good example. You could get a thermos flask. The Double walled glass insulation material should not allow the ice to melt.

Dry ice will do the trick but you will need a big cooler, You cant touch it, and it can be expensive and hard to find these days. If you take a cooler and keep the food iced down it will slowly thaw over 2 days or so, and you can just let it thaw. as long as it stays cold it wont go bad. It might be a little less yummy after it is microwaved but you can still eat it. Im not sure it HAS to stay frozen the whole time just below 40 for food safety. Maybe you can buy a small 12 volt freezer/cooler for the car. if you are going to travel more then a few times while on this diet it will be cheaper and more convenient then dry ice.

Wrap your frozen food in aluminum foil and then wrap it in newspaper. Place that in a plastic bag and seal it. ut it in an ice chest and fill with ice. When you get to the hotel, change out the ice. You can use dry ice but don't carry it inside the car. The carbon dioxide in the dry ice and cause you to fall asleep behind the wheel because it displaces the oxygen in the car. My grandmother almost died by carrying dry ice in her car when she was younger. Hope that helps.

get some dry ice. THey have it at smart & final, ralphs, and vons. Bring a large cooler and put a block of dry ice in the bottom. Place you food on top. It should keep the food frozen for much more than 4 hours. * remember NEVER touch dry ice with you bare fingers. Use gloves
