What are 10 things people always talk about?

If we are in 2012, why do people talk about things happening 10 million years ago? Did the world start again?

    The current calender used by most of the world, is based on the birthdate of Jesus. BC means Before Christ. AD meas Ano Domini ( In the Year of our Lord in Latin). It is currently 2012 AD.
