How do people make gifs from movies/shows/etc..?

If you are a pc user its pretty easy. Every PC that is Vista or Windows 7 at least comes with "Windows Live Movie Maker" From there all you have to do is find the stuff you want to make a movie out of or clip or whatever. The best source to do this from is youtube.com From there you'll want to use http://saveyoutube.com/ or http://download-youtube.com/ or http://keepvid.com/ You use those websites if you want videos to edit and mess around with. If you only want to download the sound from a youtube video I use: http://www.listentoyoutube.com/ Its all free. From there you edit those in windows movie maker. Well I hope that was helpful. Try Camtasia Studio. Put the short clip in the Editor, and when done, publish the movie as .gif and save it. NOTE: The clip will not have sound. There you go :)
