Is the GED test difficult?

How difficult is the Ca GED test?

  • I am a 50 year old man who graduated high school in 1980. The problem I am having is that I no longer have my original diploma, and the high school I attended closed long ago. Since the school was a non-accredited Christian school, they did not report to any state agency so I cannot get a duplicate. I am in need of a diploma for work reasons, so I think my best option is the GED. Does anyone out there have any information on how difficult the test is? I am fairly bright, but have not been a classroom in over 30 years. Would you recommend one of the online study programs, or just buy a book on it and study that? Thank you for your help

Hey there, I am sorry about your situation. I left school in the 8th grade. Seven years later I attended an accredited online high school which my college decided not to accept so I went for the GED. I passed with an almost perfect score (I missed a few points in math). All I did was buy the best GED books I could find and started studying on my own. I never attended any GED classes. I think your quite capable of passing. I have free GED study videos on my website and book recommendations. Math Lesson- http://www.operationged.com/p/mathematics.html Over 4 hours Social Studies Lesson-http://www.operationged.com/p/social-studies.html Over 4 hours Science Lesson- http://www.operationged.com/p/science.html Over 4 hours Writing Lesson- http://www.operationged.com/p/writing-skills.html Over 4 hours Reading Lesson- http://www.operationged.com/p/reading.html 37 minutes (I will Update in the future) P.S There will be a new GED battery geared for 2014 so it will get harder. They had a survey on high school seniors who took the GED and only 40% passed so try and get your GED before December 31, 2013. If you have any questions email me [email protected] Good Luck
