What do you put on a job resume?

  • Ok well, ive never had a job and im in highschool, i have a resume and its very simple. I get alright grades ( Cs, Bs, As ) and im nervous. Infact I dont know if im even going to get the job. Should I be this nervous and psyched about it? Also what should I put on my resume.. I have my name, adress, phone numbers, what im good at, what i want (a part time job), my school details and hobbies. Is there anything else?

Personal statement showing what motivates you and what you can offer (transferable skills like teamwork, attention to detail, good attitude etc) Any team sport? Good to include. List of skills - cash handling, customer service or at least the desire to do it, specific computer skills, good literacy levels etc Highest level of school attained - only include grades if they are really good and include subjects that relate to the job. Most important - referees, these might be teachers Careful which hobbies you include or how many as they can indicate you might be too busy to work. Good luck

If you really want the job, show up to the place early, before the doors open and ask to see the manager about the position.
