How to open a new window in windows form application?

Where to learn how to write code for C++ Windows Form Application buttons?

• hi, am a novice at C++, and in the class that i am taking we were assigned (for extra credit) to write programs in both console and windows from application. i understand the console part relatively well, and i know how to "design" the windows form, as in putting in buttons and textboxes and such. but my problem is i couldnt figure out how to make those buttons and text boxes do what i want them to do. I do not know if windows form applications have a different syntax or not, and how inputs and out puts work for text boxes and such.... i have "ivor horton's beginning visual c++ 2010" book, but it does not go into depth about windows form applications and spends more time on API and MFC. so i was wondering if someone can help me with that or direct me to a website or guide that might help answer my questions. Thank you.
