How do I delete a LinkedIn profile?

Anyone familiar with LinkedIn?

  • I hear that people who deleted their LinkedIn account still see it on the web months afterwards. Let's say I create a LinkedIn account #1 under email address #1. So before deleting it, can I just do this? a) change the city on my LinkedIn Account #1 b) change the contents in my LinkedIn Account #1 c) don't put my picture in the profile So after I delete it, and if it's still shown on the web later on, no one will know it's mine. Also, if I want to create a different LinkedIn account later on, just create a LinkedIn account #2, using email address 2, and it will have no reference to LinkedIn account #1. If anyone sees any potential problem, please advise. Thanks.

Linkedln is public. Never put anything you don't want your boss to see. Don't put your picture on, unless you are a real estate agent. Put pictures of accomplishments, you are trolling for work. I created a linkedln account, then I moved, lost the password, and the email. Then I created a second one. Relinked with everyone I liked. Most of the accounts are dead.
