  • Answer:

Those are different phones. The Galaxy Gio has a 3.2" HVGA (480*320) screen with a pixel density of 180ppi. The Galaxy Young is better known as Samsung Galaxy Y S5360. It has a 3" QVGA (320*240) screen with a pixel density of 180ppi. 99% of the time, the higher the pixel density, the better screen quality. Those ppi are below average, and will usually show poor quality screens. For a good comparison, the iPhone 4 has a 3.5" screen with a resolution of 960*640 pixels with a pixel density of 330ppi. In addiion, the LED-backlit IPS TFT further improves the image quality. There are also other screen types such as AMOLED, Super AMOLED, CBD, Super Clear LCD, and many many more. Both phones you are comparing are using the crappiest screen type out there. The classic LCD. To summarize, the Galaxy Gio has an average screen. The Galaxy Y has a below par screen. The phone color has nothing to do with the screen quality. Good luck.
