Itunes can not back up my iPod touch?

Why can't my itunes on my computer nor my ipod touch 4g connect to the itunes store?

  • I have a brand new iPod touch 4g. Ok, for the last week and a half my iPod touch has been unable to connect to the iTunes app store. I can browse the apps but I cannot download them. It will ask for my password then gets stuck in limbo then eventually says that it couldn't connect to the iTunes store. My iTunes on my computer is unable to access the iTunes store as well. What is going on? Anytime I go online to the Apple website and try to get support, the page does not load and a message pops up saying that it has "timed out". Is the Apple server down or what? I have tried MANY methods (downloading new software and restoring it through iTunes, forced restore mode then connecting it to iTunes, and many others) of updating and/or restoring my iPod but nothing has helped and I keep getting the "error 3014" message. I need all the help I can get.
