Lower abdominal pain?

Lower left abdominal pain, help!?

  • **Reposted due to lack of answers** Okay about three or four days ago I caught a cough. It was just a normal cough where I just cough a lot with slight mucus. Well on the second day I coughed a hard continuous cough and a hard one send a sharp five second pain in my left abdominal area. After that cough that set off the pain, coughs give me a pain that area and screaming loudly. The pain is mild but today the pain has increased and there is more mucus in my neck and when I cough. The pain is in the lower left part of my abdominal area where my kidney is I suppose (not really sure). All the friends I asked say it's just a pulled stomach muscle and that it will go away soon but I've already read it could be some other scary things. It also hurts when I sit down and slump over. I am 13 years old and this hasn't happened before. Please give me fast, and good answers and if possible information on what you think it is. Thanks in advance

Well it could be a lot of things. From trapped gas to hernia to pancreatic cancer. I would suggest you go talk to a doctor or at least look at mayoclinic.com

You've probably read up on stuff about appendicitis, and that can be some scary and very dangerous stuff. But if you have appendicitis, you will be in absolute unbearable, worst-pain-of-your-life kind of pain that doesn't ever subside or go from being super painful to mild. Keep an eye on it, but you most likely have nothing serious like appendicitis to worry about.
