How to reinstall window 7 home on one partition?

How to make partitions (making local disks like D: and E:) in window 7 home premium?

  • Answer:

No need to use any extra software, just goto START search for CREATE AND FORMAT DISK PARTITIONS. it will open up a window called DISK MANAGEMENT listing all of your hard drive partitions. Simply right click on the disk drive that u want to reduce the size of it (SAY D DRIVE Then right click on LOCAL DISK (D:) ). then click on SHRINK VOLUME. It will pop a new window saying, "querying size available to shrink". Then enter the amount of space to shrink in MB. and click on shrink, select desired letter for a new drive. If u enter, 20,000 in the "enter the amount of space to shrink in MB" tab, then a your D drive's 20 GB space will be reduced and a new volume of 20 GB will be appeared in windows explorer, simply format it and its ready for use. IF u wanna join two drives then ull need an external software.

Download and burn a copy of GParted, the best partitioning tool in the business. http://gparted.sourceforge.net/download.php Instructions: http://www.howtoforge.com/partitioning_with_gparted You will need a burning software like CDBurnerXP to burn ISOs. Use caution when messing around with partitions. There's a very real possibility of data loss, and if you aren't familiar with partitioning, that increases to near-certain data loss. My best advice is to avoid using any Windows software to partition. Modifying the partition Windows is on from within Windows is like sawing off the tree branch that you're perched on. You need to do this offline with a boot cd like Gparted.

Download & Install -> http://download.cnet.com/Easeus-Partition-Master-Home-Edition/3000-2248_4-10863346.html Load Easeus, Right Click The C Drive, Hit Resize (Reduce the Size) Then Right Click the 'Unallocated space' and Hit 'Create Partition'.. Then Right Click The new partition & Hit 'Format. Then Exit And APPLY Changes. NOTE: This will need you to restart your computer & may take awhile. NOTE: Be careful not to play with this program too much.. (You can easily mess up your partitions if you dont know what your doing) Hope it helps :)
