Is my cartilage piercing infected?

I don't know if my cartilage piercing is infected? Input and advice please?

• My friend pierced my ear (it's not the top of the cartilage but it's a little lower) He used a piercing gun and it's been about 3 weeks and a half weeks now and it's still pretty sore. I looked at it tonight and it's a little swollen around the piercing hole and it's definitely red. I cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide because I hadn't cleaned it in a few days. I did that while the earring was still on. Then after that, I put a new earring in and a new back. I really don't want to let it close up and then get my whole ear infected or anything. It's not pussing, it just hurts. What should I do? How should I clean it? Suggestions would be very helpful because I really don't want it to get infected. And if you know, how long does it take for cartilage to heal for the most part? Thank you so much!!

  Dont take the piercing out just clean it w/ peroxide every night w/ a cotton swab if it gets any worst go c a doctor
