How do I downgrade my PSP's firmware?

Can I Downgrade My PS3 To The 3.55 Official Firmware Without An E3 Flasher Or A Progskeet?

  • I want to downgrade and then jailbreak my PS3. I am willing to purchase an E3 Flasher, but I would rather save my money if there's a cost-free way. There is an application that is recognized by the PS3 as a firmware update that tells you how far your PS3 can be downgraded. I ran it and it told me that my PS3 can be downgraded to any firmware that is 3.50 or above. Is it possible for me to just put the 3.55 official firmware update on a USB flashdrive and downgrade my PS3? If yes, can I then install one of the 3.55 custom firmwares?

  • Answer:

Its not stealing first of all. These games are ripped and SHARED through DL and Torrent sites. So a purchase must have been made somewhere down the line. Its the exact same as borrowing a game from a friend....just in a different format lol. To answer your question, I'm almost certain that once the PS3 has been updated past a certain point it cannot be downgraded back to v.3.55 or lower. Which are the latest requirements to "jailbreak" a system. I would go with the flasher. Plus I dont know your current system version.

Try buying your games legitimately instead of trying to steal them.

Everyone start buying digital content so that you have less rights with your own property that you did with a physical copy, oh wait, technically a digital download is not your property.
